Go west!

Ísafjörður, the capital of the Westfjords, was my recent project stop: because among the approximately 3,000 residents of the town in the north west of Iceland there lives also a German women and protagonist of my book.
The flight from Reykjavík was about 35 minutes with a clear view of the Snaefellsjokull and panoramic views of the mountains while arriving Ísafjörður! And also the interview and photo shoot was in a beautiful surrounding: in the garden of Helga in stunning sunshine, followed by blueberry picking right behind the house on the hill. Next day we went on a trip to the neighboring fjords Dýrafjörður to the Botanical Garden Skrúður and the Önundarfjörður to Flateyri. The weather was typical Icelandic: clouds with sunshine and even the first snow on the mountain tops. And on a walk through the town I learn a lot about the history of Ísafjörður – and I met the most beautiful Icelandic guys :) I´m sure I´ll come back again once day. Go west!
