Hochsommer in Reykjavík!

English version
Reykjavík is colourful. Now in summertime the city pulsates. Everywhere concerts taking place, young designers selling their shrill clothes on street markets. The life at day is on the cafés with sun terrace, at night on the streets – it is high summer in Reykjavík. Silent, less quickly transient and colourful witnesses of this atmosphere are the street art in town. I captured some impressions. Who want to see more I recommend to visit and/or read the book “Icepick” from the icelandic graphic designer Thordis Claessen (www.thordis.com). She spent several years documenting the scene photographically and then designed and illustrated this brilliant book about the art, music and politics of the capital Reykjavík and its surrounding environs.
